I've been playing with a new web tool called `Typogenerator' - a little like Wordle but creates artwork out of your caption or sentence or just random words. Great fun!

Exploration 3: `This is sand' - while away hours with this creative website.
Create virtual images with this website >>>> `this is sand' As you play you will see pixels drop like grains of sand or snow. When the page loads it looks grey and blank - there's a small box on the top left - click on it for instructions on how to use this simple programme and how to change the colour. The gallery has some wonderful examples. Thanks to Bev on Technostories for this idea.

Exploration 1: A world of snow and ice
The recent cold weather over Christmas and into the new Year has provided plenty of opportunities to see my very familiar world in a different way.
HOW TO BE AN EXPLORER OF THE WORLD
I'm using this space initially to jot down ideas for me - maybe later it will grow into something that I want to share more widely.
I've been inspired by a book by Keri Smith called `How to be an explorer of the World' - subtitled ART (crossed out) Life Museum.

This book is all about looking and collecting and responding - it seemed like a good place to begin. I've also been trying to get back to my art roots and have been to a couple of classes/ workshops at Sheffield Galleries. It was great to feel I'd started doing something creative again.
